My update:
I made it back from Chicago to DC via Phila. The only glitch I had was that I was almost arrested as a terrorist. Mom gave me a nice silverware set and not thinking I wrapped it in newspaper and put it in my rollerboard. Got caught on the x-ray (knives!!!!!). DUH!!! Had to check my rollerboard. Oh well. No harm done, the TSA supervisor was very nice.

I'm back at the apt and have a busy week ahead.

 

Cab ride to ORD:
Oh yeah, if you need to get a cab, I STRONGLY recommend Mark who drove me to the airport. He went to CARMEL!!! Born/raised in Waukegan. A total delight to talk to. A 'blue' person. He knew of Ratajacks and I think he may be a friend of Mickey Grobleski. His dad owned a pipe business and may have known Dad. I think he's Char's age.

There are problems with catching this cab FROM Milwaukee but he can drive people to Milwaukee airport. He explained it to me. Has to do with state taxi liscences and one state not recognizing the other. There are ways to use his companies services to/from Milwaukee but it requires to take the hotel shuttle to the Radisson near Milwaukee airport.

So, if it is cheaper to get to Chicago by air and we have the possibility of having a reasonable price cab pick us up, I think we may want to consider it!

Yes mom, I gave him $55 ($48 +tip).
